In case you haven’t heard, there is a Gigantic OZ contest going on. Easy to enter and you can win just about everything but a kitchen sink. ”How do I enter this extravaganza?” you ask? You only have to direct your computer mouse up to the word “Contest” on the menu bar above. It’s right in between the word “Store” and “RSS”. Go ahead, give it a try. Enter and win. Tell ‘em Mikie sent ya. :)
Thanks to all who took the poll, sent in a comment and ALL the emails about whether my strip should be an on-going story line or a ‘gag-a-day’ style. Mainly what I got from this is…both. I saw a trend with the comments from fellow cartoonists that a few story lines with a slight majority would be the way to go. And I agree. I have done a few stories over the years (besides the major road trips) so I think I will increase this aspect a little more. Again, thank you for your thoughts. I loved it.
For those that do not know, Bo Lumpkin is a real person. You can find him on Twitter (@Bolumpkin) or on his website at www.gatorhead.wordpress.com. You get the feel of a person over the years by chatting and I have found Bo to be down to earth and funny. When I talk of Bo I use the term cartoonist/humorist. He is both. Just visit his site and you will see what I mean. One day I will meet Bo, for our Catfish Comic Con. Also, before I included Bo into the cast of Life On 66 a while back I received his permission. I will try to portray my character as close to the real character as possible. :)
