How much is that doggie in the webcomic? As I previously posted I was considering making Life On 66 a full fledge business. Since I am putting in hours and a modicum of expense on the comic I might as well go all out. Register the strip and make it a small business. But then I thought, I draw more than Life
On 66. I do Blue Number 7 and My Three Pups plus guest work and commissions from time to time. Sooooo…I formed a publishing company that will encompass all of this. It is official, at least wth the State of Iowa. And the name of this brave new company is, THREE DOG COMICS. Catchy, no? :)
Getting close to that time again. Tax deadline coming up. I am one of those that wait until the last minute to do them and e-send. Hate it. Hate taxes. A lot. But this dreaded yearly pain in the checkbook has got me thinking. Years ago I had a photography business. I did weddings and portraits and commercial photography. And the tax deductions were nice. As I am retired and my house is paid for I have no deductions and my greedy, drunken Uncle Sam wants more and more every year. Sooooooo…I am thinking of turning my pride and joy hobby, Life On 66, into a business. With travel, promotions, advertising, printing, etc., etc., etc., deductions abound. Something to look into. Let’s do lunch.
